Time Machine Can See Backup But Can't Restore

Cases: After changing to an SSD, or switching out the drive on a Mac  Upgrading to a newer version of macOS Now you need to restore from a Time Machine backup. If you've got an external drive just connect it, or if you're backing up to a NAS, browse your Time Machine share and click on the .sparsebundle image to mount it to your machine. Press Alt + Click on the Time Machine icon in the menu bar and select browse other backup disks, select the drive / mounted backup. When Time Machine opens you can see the backups and their dates in the timeline on the right but you are unable to navigate to them. Simply press Cmd + Shift + C Backups should now be browseable.
